Why support a club or anything else for that matter (yes I have bought stuff from China) that is set up and run as a dictatorship? Sometimes I really do wonder how people think. I´ve nothing against the MEMBERS of certain clubs. They do all the work (and I don´t mean the mods). Expertise and social side, while someone else takes all the credit and dishes out the prises? ? How can any levelheaded group of people accept that? ? Beyond me. I´m fed up with the politics of it all. Seeming people don´t mind how they are -ruled- This group IMHO was borne out of such sentiments , i for one have felt increasingly unwelcome recently , the OC is in general a welcoming place but of late the actions of some have put it in a poor light , shame really .

I think it is down to us to make this a nice place for the Scottish community.Lets get a design of a flyer and vistaprint it (cheep as chips),keep them in your glovey(i had freezer bags in there too in case it was raining lol) and hit every 75/ZT you see.I printed of some of the OC flyer and handed them out, gave tam some and i think a member joined from the Yokerish end of glasgow.Anyway my point is they work so lets actively promote ourselves and build our community in every part of Scotland, local members having monthly meets in glsgow, meets in dundee, meets in the east and so on with an annual national meet. Its down to us to spread the word so lets get our heads together and sort summit out ;D
With regards to the OC,i like the place and have no problems with it i mean sure the politics can drive me potty at times but there is a lot of good folks on there and the tech knowledge is unreal so i will always use it and pay my dollar ;D

To be honest, I didn't think a Scottish forum would be taken kindly by the OC which is why I didn't go to and ask. Re removing the link to the Scottish forum. Im hoping the OC are not displaying a dislike to the Scottish forum and I hope the signature was removed because it infringes an OC signature rule or similar. Perhaps a bit of clarity is needed on the exact reason given. Having said that, I do notice there are members in the OC who have links in their signatures to the two-sixies forum and alos Nano Meets website. This Scottish forum is fully behind the OC, its not a breakaway group or against the OC in any way therefore I would be disappointed if any references to the Scottish forum is made in the OC forum then removed by them. Regardless, we are what we are and we shall continue to move forward in Scotland. I was told my sig promoted another site and was therefore removed , i was also told that my next infringement of any rules would result in further infraction ( and your time here will be over). There is a lot i could say about the way things have went for me in the club in the past few weeks but i wont do it down here . I will however tell the full story should i be banned . The pms i recieved yesterday from a particular mod were verging on vicious , i cant even strike back . Advantage is being taken . This GROUP we have here aint welcomed . George, don't let it bother you mate, you are amongst like minded members on here and lets get on with the real business which is the cars. Leave the nonsense on the other site ;D

Why can´t the -guts- of the OC just move to somewhere where the organisation isn´t set up the way it is there? I know it´s all about the cars and is just a so called club but with the head in the sand policy that most adopt over there you can really understand how a certain german in the 20s and 30s was able to squeeze into power and then make it too late for the decent citizen to do anything about it. -Well he did give us employment, the VW and the autobahns, so he can´t be that bad- Trouble is the whole thing was rotten to the core from the beginning but no-one wanted to get involved. I know it´s a long leap from the one to the other but it´s exactly the same coinage whether a penny or a million pounds. An elected and fair administration coupled to the -members- of the so called club, and you would have a winner. It must be nice to drive around in your car where a lot of the work for it has been done by others. Especially as, apparently, your normal car has HGF. Have to watch where you park it..... might get spotted. I think this whole thing is so incredulas it´s unbelievable. People just turn over and shut their eyes. I could never do that. Where is the investment of the thusands of pounds back into the club for the benifit of the members. Someone has mentioned 14 thou. Don´t know if that´s true, no one has ever produced the books. All the projects that could be undertaken (new mudflaps etc, etc) with funding from the -club- This sort of thing is done all the time in real clubs. Front wings for the Volvo PV 544-444 were nearly all gone so the club got Volvo to refurb the tooling and then had 50 sets made. These were snapped up in short order and now I think they are on their 8th pressing. Just one example or a real club which is actually for the members, doesn´t just say so. Sorry, rant over. I´m soooooo tired of it all.........

As was I at the POL Earlier this year..... Unfortunately blighted by 2 individuals........I was really looking forward to meeting peeps who I had conversed with over a long period of time on the OC. I felt my attendance there would have been unwelcome, but now, in hindsight, I sooooooooooooo wish I had attended...... Still, I still have the friends that I had, there will always be other occasions in the future to meet those in person who I should have done on that day..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sad or what - With the amount of people that go to a national meet, it's highly unlikely you would would have bumped into them. It's nigh on impossible to pick out one individual without ringing them. Whats your number again? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It has never been the intention for this group to be separate from the OC. We support what they do. If individual people do not like how the OC go about operating their club, thats upto them and it should be dealt with on that particular forum and not this forum. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that this forum is not to be used as a means of running down any club or forum or people from that forum so please bear this in mind. The 75 & ZT Owners Group in Scotland wants to create a positive culture, atmosphere and links for all things 75 and ZT in Scotland in conjunction with other groups and forums, in particular, the OC. Yella Fella Earlier in this thread I asked that this forum is not used as a means of discussing the OC and any issues they have at this time or issues members have with the OC. Despite this references to the OC continue to be made therefore I have closed this thread. Closing threads is something I do not wish to do. It goes against the meaning of 'forum' and stops people having open discussions, however I do need to protect our new group from possibly slipping into political areas we do not wish to go. I repeat what I have said earlier, The 75 & ZT Owners Group in Scotland wants to create a positive culture, atmosphere and links for all things 75 and ZT in Scotland in conjunction with other groups and forums in particular, the OC. Believe me, creating this forum was a risky decision for different reasons, so please work together to create a politically free, happy, well visited, well used and well organised forum for us to provide events and meets for Rover 75 and ZT Owners in Scotland.
