I think it will pass , but the handbrake cable needs tightening a bit. Going outside to now to see if it can be tightened any more.

I drove around for a month with an expired MOT back in March. I had no idea it had run out.

I tried to tighten the handbrake, but I couldn't get the caliper of to remove the disc to adjust the cable.
A job for the garage me thinks.

Whoops! Easily done. Elsa was driving round for a fortnight with no MOT on the F. We both thought it was the following month.

You don't have to remove the discs, handbrake adjustment is done through the wheel nut holes; there's info on the other side. I'd bet that your compensator is stretched, I've got to sort mine out. Steve (Arctic) does exchange replacements. You could try sleeving the adjuster nut on the handbrake as a temporary fix.

Hi Tim, I searched the How To's on www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/ and found someone saying the same and he had pics showing this being done, but it was a 75. I think the ZT is slightly different as I tried to find the adjuster through the holes. I could see the spring, but the adjuster was not to be seen at the usual 1 o'clock position. Two handbrake cables delivered today so hopefully the garage will get them fitted tomorrow. YF

YF I've just changed the rear discs on mine and it's the same, the adjuster is a bitch to spot above the spring between 12 and 1 o'clock but it's definitely there. The compensator is under the rear of the centre console and stretches with age. Steve does replacements with a stainless steel shackle that will not stretch; that's the issue with mine, no adjustment left to play with.
